Christmas at our Home!!

Christmas at our house Started 4 Sundays before the 25th, when we lit the first advent candle.

This is our non-traditional advent wreath.. next year I will do a more traditional one.

Then on the 5th Santa came and filled up the kids stockings, which really hit it off! By then all the decor was up and ready to go!!! Here's some pics of that fun filled morning of the 6th!

Richard was the first to see his stocking!Who would have guessed that Will's favorite stocking stuffer was a dolphin toothbrush! lol! He had to brush every toys teeth, every dogs teeth, cat, whatever... that well, now it is just a toy.. not for human use! lol

Christmas eve the kids, well William ( Richard fell asleep to early) got to open up one present.. their Christmas P.j.'s provided by Grammy Palmer.

It was fun this year... Will got Kongfu Panda ones and Rich Thomas the Train.. of cours!

lol! Very non-traditional! :)

Next morning... CHRISTMAS MORNING... the kids found gifts left for them! Not wrapped.. these our the special gifts you get right before we light the Christ Candle, to remember the gift God gave to us! Our Savior!

Then Nate's Parents came over and we at Breakfast and opened up more presents then I have ever seen on Christmas morning!

We had a secret Santa this year, who more then doubled our gifts under the Tree. Thank-you whoever you are!!! You made Christmas this year for us!!

Will's unwrapped gifts!! He was so excited to see Jay Jay the Jet Plane stuff, cars and Panda!

Richard of Cours' got more Thomas the Train... he's a little obsessed, we know! :)

And well I forgot to get my Camera out for the rest.. it was all too exciting!!

Hope you all had just as Merry as a Christmas as we did! Lots of Love to all!!!

Akaine

This is something I just have to share with others! I fell in love with Akaine's art, a prodigy child, last year. When a friend sent me a fwd about her. She is 13 years old now. Not only does she paint, but she is a brilliant Poet as well. She has two best selling books out, already.

Just take a look at these paintings and the age she painted them at. I think your mouth will drop and your mind wonder at the talent and brilliance, this little girl has.

The Prince of Peace, at age 8. You should definitely get on her website and read her story about painting this most precious portrait. My favorite Portrait of our Savior. He just looks so alive!

Age 11, Mother's Love (Mary holding the newborn Christ)

At age 11, a self portrait.

At 5 years old!
"I have been blessed by God. And if I am blessed, there is one reason and one reason only, and that is to help others."
-Akaine
Such wisdom.. How I fear for this young teenager, she is so blessed... Surely Satan will try her.
She was born into an atheist home and introduced Christ to her family.
She has painted and wrote so much, click on the link to see her website, search through her gallery, poetry, and see a glimpse of her life.

Art at 4 yrs

William has such an interest for art. He is always drawing, or asking others to draw, while he gapes over and watches your every move. He usually knows what he wants drawn.. and will let you know when you draw it wrong. :)
His art work has improved greatly over the last couple months.. And I wanted to share it with you...
I find it amazing that I can actually tell, generally, what it is he has drawn!
We are so happy for our little guy and hope he continues to progress, with what is looking like, it could be, a future talent!

Okay from, top to bottom.. the first one ??? where not too sure what it is. I asked William if it was a train, he shook his head no... "a bug", I said.. he shook his head no.. So I dono... you guess! William says the next one is a bzzzz.. so I interpret Bee! Then we have a plane and a spider.

William is autistic and has a hard time communicating, since he has very few words. (But on a side note, we have heard a great improvement this year, since he started school again! Thank-you Mrs Bette, Mrs Michelle, and Bloomfield Pre-K! I know the environment you have set, has really helped!) He has always tried using pictures, to get across, what it is he is trying to say. Perhaps this is what started him drawing.

William is so proud of his work. He is constantly hanging it up in different areas around the house! He loves to show it off and just sit and admire it!
